In General Ledger Posting, you will learn to prepare and post manual journal entries and keep a chart of accounts. Income Statement Preparation focuses on comparing a business income statement to its own historical results as well as to industry standards. Calculate working capital, inventory turnover, days in accounts receivable, and debt-to-equity ratios in Balance Sheet Preparation. See individual classes for more detailed information.

Payroll Taxes, taught by Gregory Martin, will cover most of the required documents that the employer uses to process new hires, employee payroll, and related tax forms.

Series includes:

General Ledger Posting
Vital to good business! Learn the fundamentals of recording accounting information in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Using information from a virtual company, you will learn to prepare journal entries and maintain a chart of accounts. These journal entries and charts of accounts will be used later in the Income Statement and Balance Sheet Preparation courses.

Income Statement Preparation
Experience comparing a business income statement to its own historical results as well as to industry standards. Find out how horizontal and vertical analysis determines profitability. Exercises will use the journal entries and chart of accounts created in the General Ledger Posting course, but if you are just joining us, we will supply them.

Balance Sheet Preparation
Business owners and managers, investors, and bankers use the balance sheet to determine the make-up of assets, liabilities and equity. Find out how balance sheet ratios are used in business decision-making. Calculate working capital, inventory turnover, days in accounts receivable and debt-to-equity ratios in this hands-on class. The virtual company journal entries and charts of accounts from the General Ledger Posting and Income Statement Preparation courses will be used in this class, but if you are just joining, we will supply them.

Payroll Taxes
