Get great results! Barre (or bar) classes are all the rage now – you see them everywhere, under lots of different names. That’s because they work so well. The barre is a tool that allows you to do things you can’t do any other way, working muscles you never knew existed. It’s like adding a fourth dimension to your workout – which will also include weights and calisthenics. You’ll flatten abs, improve posture, burn calories, lose inches, and increase strength and flexibility. Plus Elissa’s barre class is especially creative, so you won’t be bored, just "barred!"

You will learn proper technique to execute basic offensive and defensive movements while engaging in an intense martial arts workout to increase cardiovascular endurance, strength, and core integration. Learn how to use concentrated movements of your arms and legs to create long, lean muscles and improve your body's alignment, enhance your balance, and increase muscular control. Therapeutically based, Pilates is ideal for rehabilitating selected injuries. Bring a yoga or Pilates mat, as well as a Pilates ball (click on "Class Supplies" tab in left menu for details). Also bring a theraband if you have one.
