Class Description
Pilates popularity has really soared the last decade because it’s a great way to improve body conditioning and flexibility. Mat Pilates is a harmonious mind-body workout, requiring a foam mat and no special equipment. The focus will be directed at activating the “powerhouse” muscles and conscious breathing to strengthen, lengthen and tone the abdomen, pelvic cavity, lower back, glutes, hips and thighs. By performing concentrated movements of your arms and legs, you’ll improve your body’s alignment, enhance your balance, increase muscular control and get invigorated. Therapeutically based, it is ideal for rehabilitating injuries. Bring a yoga or Pilates mat, towel and water. Eat no more than a light snack two hours prior.
