CourseGraphic Landscape designers figure out what elements bring out the best in a location. It may be a specific tree or plants--or perhaps a deck or patio. Learn a step-by-step approach to begin a landscaping project that can be added to and enjoyed as it matures. Discover what design principles work best for small places, shady areas, large lots, hillsides and more. You’ll review plans and pictures of your site and learn valuable, basic pruning techniques. This class is great for new homeowners or those who want to upgrade their yards. Bring photos of your site, a simple hand drawn site plan, a 5-gallon rhaphiolepsis plant (Indian Hawthorne or Pink Lady), and pruning shears. Note: This is not a gardening class.
