Shibori (Tie-Dyeing)

CourseGraphic Shibori is the old Japanese term and technique for dyeing white fabric. This class will look at different shibori pieces and also at pieces tie-dyed other ways, since cultures and countries use various methods. Students will practice techniques on small silk pieces and then create a large scarf each night with the knowledge obtained. The beautiful results will create constant “wow"s in class and wow your family and friends as well. Please dress in clothes you can get dye on or bring an apron. For class supply list on website, please click on Class Supplies link in the menu on the left. *$25 material fee, due at registration, for silk scarves and dye supplies.
