It’s a bird, it’s a plane, its’s a bird! But what species? Sandy will teach you how to identify birds using field marks, songs, and behavior. Also get techniques for selecting binoculars and field guides. More than a hobby, birding is a fun, educational, and inexpensive way to connect with nature whether in your backyard or the great outdoors. Birding is also a fantastic way to meet other people who appreciate our feathered friends. Plus you'll discover ways you can get more involved in the birding community. Sandy will take you on a birdwatching walking tour of the campus the last part of class. Please wear comfortable shoes. Children (age 8+) may attend with a parent or guardian for $10 extra.
