CourseGraphic

Kumihimo is the traditional Japanese technique of braiding strands of silk to create intricately colored cording. Samurai warriors once used kumihimo as laces for their armor. Learn to make your own multi-colored Kumihimo necklace, using silky cording and a pretty matching glass cabochon pendant. Renee will show you how to set up and weave on the special disk made specifically for Kumihimo, then teach you the steps for professionally finishing off your final design.  Note: this class teaches the same technique but a different project than the previous kumihimo class, so returnees and newbies both welcome. $8 material fee due at registration for project supplies, including disk, colored cording, pendant, and clasp.  View more project photos at www.ReneeJewelryClasses.com.
