Anyone can create beautiful clothes, bedding, handbags, jewelry, placemats, tablecloths, lamp shades, wall hangings, wrapping paper, and more! You needn’t draw; you can use patterns and techniques like waxing, salting, and alcohol to create your design. Projects include scrunch-n-run, Japanese shibori & other tie-dying, batiks, and painting. Typical hand-painted silk scarves sell for around $45 apiece—but you can make them for $5 to $7, and you’ll take home 2-3 pieces each night! $80 material fee covers all silks and design supplies as well as a frame, bottles with tips, and mixing cups for making more pieces at home since this can easily be done in a kitchen or on a balcony. *See class confirmation for details on what to wear and bring.
